Today is going to be a wonderfully busy day. I get to see all kinds of four legged friends. They're all a joy to visit and I'm looking forward to it.

Monday Monday
It's a great Monday morning with the sun trying to make it's way into the sky. The trees are silhouetted against the light of the sun sitting below the horizon.
Today will be a busy day for this pet sitter. I will meet two new pet families and take care of some dogs of pet families I've known for a long time.
This week I'll be baking some homemade holiday treats to share with my furry family members as well as my extended furry family.

Another Late Night
All is quiet in the Facklam household and is an opportune time to blog.
It's been a good day. I met a few sweet dogs and a couple of cute kitties. Susan will be taking care of some of the pets and is looking forward to it. She's a great animal lover and an all around good person. She was great with our new client and gave them peace of mind knowing their pets will be well taken care of.
Plans for tomorrow are to go see a few big dogs and take the best care of them they can have compared to mom and dad :)

Pet Allergies
Today I received a Keurig (by the cup) coffee maker, so here I am in the middle of the night blogging instead of sleeping {8-O
Today I researched dog allergies due to a few dogs I've visited exhibiting some symptoms such as Scratching a lot, spots with no hair and red spots and/or dry skin, etc. Some of the symptoms are seasonal which is indicative of atopic dermatitis. There are treatments for the symptoms though the allergy will never go away. Benedryl can cut down on the itching which irritates the sking, but consult your veterinarian before administering any medicine. If giving your pooch the wrong dose it could be toxic to him and hurt him instead of helping him. Look on my Facebook for more info about allergies (link on my website).
Allergies, though annoying and sometimes painful if untreated, aren't usually a medical emergency. If, however, the allergy causes respiratory distress or any other extreme reaction, consult your veterinarian immediately.

Another Day Going to the Dogs (har har)
Today is starting off early. I put a pot of coffee on and have started my day. It's the weekend you say? Four legged folks don't know that. To them it's just another day to be happy to see the Pet Sitter.
There are three wonderful kitties and a few really cool dogs I'm going to see today. I love having a variety of furry guys to see. Both are from new clients and I'm loving it. I love my existing clients too but its always fun to meet new ones and take care of them.
I created a new article on Pet Allergies and have been researching more on pet nutrition. I plan to have a seminar in the spring on pet health and have a booth at the Kearney Business Group expo called "Home, Health and Happiness". Be there!
We just added a Store to our website. Check out the savings of no tax and oftentimes no shipping!!
Well folks, I'm off to go see a dog about a cat, or is it a cat about some chow... at any rate, I'm off.
